There are 4 steps to our admissions process.

1) Application: You may submit an application online at any point before the deadline of January 5, 2009. All applications received by this deadline will be considered with equal care and consideration. In order to schedule a Classroom Observation, Parent Interview and Group Child Visit, an application must be on file.  You may attend an Open House/Information Session before you submit an application.

2) Classroom Observation: Classroom Observations are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:15am beginning in mid-October and continuing through January. To schedule a Classroom Observation, you must have an application on file. If you are submitting an application after September 29, 2008, please allow 2-3 days for us to process your application, then call our school at 212.662.8000 to schedule a Classroom Observation. If you submitted an application on or before September 29, 2008, please attend the Classroom Observation on the date you selected online. Parents of sibling applicants are not required to attend a Classroom Observation. 

3) Parent Interview:  After your Classroom Observation, you will be invited to schedule your Parent Interview.  During this visit, parents meet individually with a member of our Admissions Committee.

4) Group Child Visit:  Children participate in a playgroup with WSMS teachers.  Group Child Visits are scheduled on Saturday mornings for new families and on a Friday afternoon for sibling applicants. After your Classroom Observation, you will also be invited to schedule your child's visit.
